Terence Cuneo Collection
Terence Cuneo CVO, OBE (1907-1996) has been variously described:
‘The most celebrated railway artist’
‘The greatest railway painter in history’
‘One of the most significant artists of our time’
‘The British Army’s artist’
His ability to capture in his paintings the magic, power and moods of the steam era, are unrivalled. Terence Cuneo’s career as an artist started as a magazine illustrator and developed into an extensive career of commissions for Royal Portraiture, Military Battle scenes, Ceremonial Occasions, and his whimsical mouse character canvases. Most of all, he is remembered for his artistic mastery in recording the Steam Era. The legacy of the life and work of Terence Cuneo CVO, OBE, lives on for us all through his art.
We are pleased to offer you here a fine selection of his artworks available as affordable prints. They all include Cuneo’s ‘trade mark’ mouse. It is a fitting tribute to Terence Cuneo that in late 2004, H.R.H. The Princess Royal, unveiled his statue, which now overlooks Waterloo’s Admiralty Arch. A 900 word authorised profile of Terence Cuneo’s art career accompanies all orders.
