This evocative Limited Edition print brings the epic summer of 1940 dramatically to life. In the calm of a fine summer evening, a group of Spitfires returns from the last sortie of the day. Two small boys and a passing cyclist watch as the leading Spitfire sweeps over the boundary of the temporary airfield. Each print in the 1,494 copies edition commemorates an RAF aircrew loss during the Battle of Britain, as recorded in the Battle of Britain Memorial Chapel at Westminster Abbey.

Specification: Published as a Single International Edition Limited to 1,494 copies. Signed by the artist and numbered. Each print is also countersigned individually by three famous Battle of Britain Pilots; Squadron Leader 'Ginger' Lacey DFM, Group Captain Brian Kingcome DSO, DFC, and Wing Commander 'Paddy' Barthropp DFC, AFC.
